MGOC Brand Launch
Mittal Group of Companies (MGOC) is a parent company that provides structure and leadership to a number of small businesses in the Northern Virginia area. As the lead designer on this project while working with Apexx Strategies, I was able to collaborate with a team of designers and developers to create and launch a new brand identity for MGOC. The brand deliverables included a complete brand identity system, a brand guidelines document, brand launch animation for social media and web, and a simple landing page design.

The Brand Process
The branding process started out back in February 2021 with some initial research, moodboards and project direction discussions. I was able to formulate and conduct multiple strategy sessions with the client before diving into any visual identity planning. We consulted with our client at every major milestone of the project, like after the research/direction decision stage, the logo iteration stage, icon development stage, and color pairing stage to ensure that all stakeholders were on board throughout the creative process.
It was important for this brand to come across as sophisticated, intelligent, professional and modern, which was kept in mind throughout all steps of this creative journey. We used modern shapes to create the monogram for the M, and paired that with a stacked sans serif wordmark to add structure to the logo. The branding also explores simple and structured layouts to give the identity a corporate look and feel. The cool blue and teal color palette is paired with a bright accented yellow to add a punch to the overall image.
The Brand Launch
Once the visual identity was complete, we began to pivot the conversation to how to launch the brand to the public. The brand launch consisted of two major pushes. First, we introduced the brand identity which included a new logo, visual identity system, and a custom brand launch video that told the story of MGOC through a crafted script and storyline.
Next, we launched the new one-pager website to give the company a professional online presence that uses a clean layout and design to display their company information. We got to work on designing and building out this custom one-pager using Figma and developing those designs in Webflow. We carried through the colors, brand tone, imagery, and branding design elements effectively and tastefully across the site.
Final Thoughts
After months of collaborating, brainstorming, and designing with the client, we were able to successfully launch a beautiful brand that MGOC is pleased with to this day. As the lead designer on this project, I learned a lot about the branding process while working directly with clients, and managing a brand launch from start to finish. I will always be proud of the work that I produced for this project and appreciate the skills that I gained in communication, animation, storytelling, and website design.
