Nice to meet you
Hi - I’m Kylie! I am a brand designer and art director currently living with my husband in the Washington D.C. Metro Area. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Design from Conestoga College, and I’m eager to find my next creative opportunity in the Washington, DC area, or remotely within the US! I’m excited to work on projects that positively impact people, their communities, and the environment.
When I am not busy working on design projects, you can catch me outdoors hiking with friends, improving my gouache painting skills, exploring local restaurants in the area, and traveling with family.
Some of my recent work experience
I’ve worked in the creative industry for about 7 years now, and have experience designing with in-house creative teams, startups, and agencies. Although I specialize in brand strategy and design, I also enjoy projects where I can use my art direction, web design, and event design skills. Take a look at some of my recent work experiences, or download my full resume below.

Here are a few interesting facts about me:
I am a world champion
In 2016 I was part of the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps, and we won the Drum Corps International World Championships! I also won the “Performer of the Year” award as a member of the color guard. Fun fact: this is where my husband and I met!
I am Canadian
Although I’ve relocated to the DMV, I was born and raised in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada and I will always be excited to share my poutine recipes with you (it’s all about the cheese curds!).
A few fun places that my designs have been featured
Over the course of my career, I’ve been part of projects that had designs featured at The White House, on major billboards along the North East, NY Climate Week, CBS News, CBC News, and even tattooed on a client’s arm!
A hobby I’m currently into
My husband gifted me a Minolta X-370 for my birthday last year, and it has been so refreshing learning how to use film to capture our travels. Don’t ask me how to develop the film though… still working on that!
I have a love for mid-century modern furniture and decor
I strive to make my home look like it’s from the set of Mad Men, but with less cigarettes and Canadian Club.
Some of my current obsessions include
Thai food, The Great British Baking Show, estate sales, the Harry Potter book series, and always RuPaul’s Drag Race.
Something I wish I could do more of
Printmaking. I love traditional printmaking, but unfortunately can’t afford an intaglio/relief press for my basement.
